Paragraph 1. Danger warning signs

• 5. Danger warning signs inform drivers on approaching a dangerous section of the road, the travel on which requires taking measures corresponding to the road situation.
• 6. Danger warning signs are the following:
• 1.1. Level-crossing with gates.
  
• 1.2. Level-crossing without gates.
  
• 1.3.1. One-track railway.
  
  Crossing through a railway with one track
• 1.3.2. Multi-track railway.
  
  Crossing through a railway with two or more tracks
• 1.4.1–1.4.6. Approaching a level-crossing.
  
  Additional warning about approaching a level-crossing outside built-up areas
• 1.5. Crossing with a tramway lane.
  
• 1.6. End of the road with improved surface.
  

  Passing of the road with improved surface into a gravel or ground road
• 1.7. Crossing with a roundabout.
  
• 1.8. Light-signal regulation.
  
  Intersection, pedestrian crossing or a section of the road where the traffic is regulated by the light signal
• 1.9. Swing bridge or ferry crossing.
  
• 1.10. Road leads on to quay.
  
  Road leads on to a quay (water basin bank)
• 1.11.1, 1.11.2. Dangerous bend.
  
  Curve of the road of small radius (1.11.1 — to the right, 1.11.2 — to the left) or with a limited visibility
• 1.12.1, 1.12.2. Dangerous bends.
  
  A section of the road with two or more dangerous bends situated one after another (1.12.1 — first bend to the right, 1.12.2 — first bend to the left). In case of three and more bends, the sign is applied with panel 7.7, and also may be used with panel 7.2.1
• 1.13. Steep descent.
  
  Descent where special requirement of the Rules of the Road are valid (hereinafter — the Rules), establishing the order of the traffic respectively on steep descents.

  Sign 1.13 may be installed without panel 7.1.1 directly before the descent, if such descents follow one another

• 1.14. Steep ascent.
  
  Ascent where special requirement of the Rules are valid, establishing the order of the traffic respectively on steep ascents.

  Sign 1.14 may be installed without panel 7.1.1 directly before the ascent, if such ascents follow one another

• 1.15. Slippery road.
  
• 1.16.1. Artificial bump.
  
  A section of the road with an installed artificial bump (artificial bumps) on the carriageway
• 1.16.2. Uneven road.
  
  A section of the road with bumps on the carriageway (waves, rolls, manifold and etc.)
• 1.16.3. Uneven road.
  
  A section of the road with harsh conjugation with the road surface in the form of a roll (ridge)
• 1.16.4. Uneven road.
  
  A section of the road with defects of surface in the form of dips, saggings
• 1.17. Loose chippings.
  
  A section of road with improved surface, on which chippings may be thrown up from the wheels of vehicles
• 1.18.1–1.18.6. Carriageway narrows.
  
  Carriageway narrows: 1.18.1, 1.18.4 — on both sides, 1.18.2, 1.18.5 — on the right, 1.18.3, 1.18.6 — on the left
• 1.19.1, 1.19.2. Two-way traffic.
  
  The beginning of a section of road (carriageway) with oncoming traffic after the section of the road with one-way traffic
• 1.20. Pedestrian crossing ahead.
  
  Approaching to an unregulated pedestrian crossing marked with signs 5.16.1, 5.16.2 and/or horizontal road marking 1.14.1, 1.14.2
• 1.21. Children.

• 1.24. Cattle crossing.
  
  A section of the road on which the appearance of cattle is possible
• 1.25. Wild animals.
  
  A section of the road passing through the territory of nature reserves (hunting farms, woodlands, etc.), where the appearance of wild animals is possible
• 1.26. Falling rocks.
  
  A section of the road on which landfalls, landslides, falling rocks are possible
• 1.27. Crosswind.
  
  A section of the road on which strong crosswind or its sudden gusts are possible
• 1.28. Low-flying airplanes.
  
  A section of the road close to aerodromes or flown over by airplanes at low altitude
• 1.29. Accident-prone section.
  
  A section of the road on which road accidents occur frequently
• 1.30. Other dangers.
  
  A dangerous section of the road that cannot be marked with other warning signs
• 1.31.1–1.31.5. Direction of the turn.
  
  Direction of the traffic on a bend of the small radius road with limited visibility (signs 1.31.1, 1.31.2, 1.31.4, 1.31.5); direction for passing an obstruction for the road traffic on a section part of the road being repaired (signs 1.31.1, 1.31.2); direction of passing of the central island on the intersection with turnabouts (sign 1.31.1); direction of traffic on the T-shape intersection, divergence of roads (signs 1.31.1–1.31.3); direction for passing of a section of the road being repaired (sign 1.31.3)
• 1.32. Dangerous shoulder.
  
  A section of the road with lowered or destroyed shoulder or on which shoulder repair works are performed
• 1.33. Ice-slick.
  
  A section of the road on which snowdrifts or icy or snow and ice conditions are possible
• 1.34. Congestion on the road.
  
• 1.35. Seasonal migrations of amphibians.
  
  A section of the road on which massive appearance of amphibians on the carriageway is possible
• 7. Signs 1.1, 1.2, 1.5–1.30, 1.32–1.35 are installed outside built-up areas at a distance of 150 to 300 meters, and in built-up areas — as a rule, on a distance of 50 to 100 meters before the beginning of the dangerous section of the road. When necessary (the beginning of the dangerous section of the road is concealed from the driver by a sharp bend, gradient change of longitudinal profile, building, etc.) the mentioned signs may be installed at another distance which in that case must be indicated on panel 7.1.1.
• 8. Signs 1.1, 1.2, 1.9, 1.10, 1.21, 1.23 are repeated outside built-up areas and are installed at a distance of 20 to 50 meters before the beginning of the dangerous part of the road. Sign 1.23 is also repeated in built-up areas and is installed directly at the beginning of the section of the road where road and other works are being performed. The beginning of the section shall be deemed to be the first, in the direction of the traffic, fencing or guiding installation.
• 9. Signs 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 1.31.1–1.31.5 are installed within the limits of the dangerous section of the road or directly before it.
• 10. Signs 1.4.1–1.4.3 are installed on the right side, аnd signs 1.4.4–1.4.6 — on the left side of the road.
