Chapter 21. Traffic of animal-drawn vehicles, horseback riders and guiding of cattle

Drivers of animal-drawn vehicles or cattle and horseback riders must be at least fourteen years old.

Drivers of animal-drawn vehicles or animals (cattle) and horseback riders are prohibited:
158.1.
guide animals on public roads with improved surface outside built-up areas;
158.2.
leave animals without supervision on the road, drive them across the railway track and roads outside specially equipped places approved under the established procedure and also at night-time and/or upon insufficient road visibility;
158.3.
carry out grazing of animals within the limits of a land strip where the road and all its constructions are located.

When travelling on the road at night-time and/or upon its insufficient road visibility, the animal-drawn vehicle must have must turned on a lamp emitting the white light to the front, and a lamp emitting the red light to the rear.
160.
Traffic of animal-drawn vehicles and of horseback riders on the carriageway is allowed only in one line at a distance not farther than 1 meter from its right edge. In doing so:
160.1.
it is prohibited to turn to the left or to make a U-turn on the road with tramway track and on the road with more than one lane in this direction;
160.2.
traffic of animal-drawn vehicles and horseback riders on the verge is allowed, unless it impedes the safe traffic of pedestrians.

Driver of an animal-drawn vehicle, horseback rider must guide the animal by the riddle when joining the priority road from a minor road at night-time, upon insufficient road visibility or in places with its limited visibility.
